Mandoo Bar is a restaurant in NYC’s Koreatown on 32nd Street that specializes in dumplings. In the front window, you can see two women working away preparing the rows and rows of dumplings. They are then stacked in little bamboo trays and steamed when ordered. The results are these delicious assortment of dumplings as above. We got the Combo Mandoo dumpling plate that has steamed shrimp, pork and vegetable dumplings. The shrimp were FCB’s favorite.
Good to note though, if you need a quick and inexpensive vegetarian meal, Mandoo Bar offers great vegetable dumplings, both steamed and fried and the restaurant setup is as conducive to the single diner as to the group. And our meal together came to only $20.! Hard to find in NYC…cheap, filling enough for dinner and relatively healthy.
