Don’t you wish you lived in Brooklyn. You could wake up mid-morning and stroll over to Tavern of Dean and be presented with this amazing brunch! This was far and away the best brunch Food City Bytes has had in recent memory. (Although we do save a warm spot in our hearts for Tom’s! Cookies in da line represent!)
Here’s a shot of Mary Ellen and her Eggs Napoleon.—that’s like Eggs Benedict but with the cheese. (Guess he left more than just his fellow soldiers)

On a cold winter day it was nice to sit in the window with the sun streaming in behind us. Tavern on Dean was moderately full when we entered but there was no wait which is nice. They have both a front room (where we ate) and a back room (this is often used for rowdy bar type get togethers in the evenings).
Tavern on Dean also serves hearty portions of American dishes for dinner. Soemtimes though…..beware of game night(s) as it can get too loud to hold a conversation as there is a bar to the left of the front room dining area.
Here’s a link to their menu (it changes periodically for the brunch though so this is not the most up to date menu but…): http://www.menupages.com/restaurantdetails.asp?areaid=0&restaurantid=10398&neighborhoodid=0&cuisineid=0

Well, I don’t know if I wish I lived in Brooklyn, but the brunch does look good! Maybe I’ll get to try it sometime…
Definitely!
